One of the benefits of being a passionate traveller is that decorating the house is very easy. I love filling up my house with items from all over the world. I’m not a full-time traveller, so I like to surround myself with memories or with items of places I would still like to visit. A girl can dream, right? 🙂
For example, I have a penholder from Malaysian Borneo, two Dol Hareubangs (grandfather statues) from Jeju Island in South Korea & a Che Guevara keychain from Cuba to remember my time in these countries.
It’s also why I have a fluffy alpaca & stately moai statues, as I’m hoping to have the chance to visit these countries one day (it worked because I’ll actually visit Peru in two weeks).
I was really happy when I was offered the chance to add a beautiful map of the world from wereldkaarten.nl to my collection. The even better news is that I’m allowed to give a voucher away, so that you can decorate your place with your own map of the world. If you’d like to know how you can win, keep reading!
The options on wereldkaarten.nl are absolutely mind-boggling. Luckily, all the items are well categorised and it’s easy to browse through the different materials & themes. They have world maps on poster, canvas, cork & plexiglas for example. I ended up selecting one on aluminium.
I make the selection process sound easy, but it wasn’t. When I started browsing I was convinced I would either order one of those scratch maps or cork boards. For those of you who don’t know: I like lists, guys! (You don’t believe me? Here’s proof: UNESCO list)
However, I decided to stop with the lists for a while. I noticed I should focus and enjoy the ‘now’ a bit more every now and then; I’m still keeping lists, but I don’t need additional ones. (Confession: I might still one day splurge and order this cork globe)
Right, so what then?
I decided to steer towards the more zen-looking map of the world and I picked this beauty:
Wereldkaarten.nl doesn’t only offer many different materials, it also offers different sizes & fixings which you can order additionally. It only took a few days to arrive, and the map of the world is now happily living in my appartment.
They ship to the Netherlands and to Belgium.
In order to enter the giveaway, please comment on this post and let me know why you would like to win a map of the world. Do you already have a style in mind? Please let me know as well — purely for inspirational purposes.
It’s not mandatory, but I would always welcome a new follower on Instagram!
The winner – naturally, only people from the Netherlands & Belgium can participate – will win a voucher of 25 euro to spend on Wereldkaarten.nl. I will choose the winner at random on the 4th of June. This person will receive an email message with the voucher code. Good luck! This giveaway has closed & the winner has received a message
